This November is the 18th annual National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo) when thousands of writers around the world declare themselves Word Warriors in the Writerly Arena. ARCHIVOS salutes these bold storytelling champions… and we’re doing our part to help ensure their victory.
NaNoWriMo and ARCHIVOS
The goal of NaNoWriMo is to write 50K words on a single story in 30 days. That breaks down to roughly 1,667 words a day. It requires discipline and commitment… but it helps if you have a plan, too. A rough idea of characters and plot points before diving in can make those daily word counts much more attainable.
To help them achieve that noble goal, ARCHIVOS is giving NaNoWriMo participants a 3-month Storyteller subscription to its online story development platform absolutely free.
For the month of October and November, any writers registered at NaNoWriMo.org can submit a request for a coupon code good for three months of full access to the suite of story development features ARCHIVOS provides.
Making the Impossible Possible
By helping writers develop the structure of their stories in advance, we hope to provide a solid foundation to build on towards their 50K word goal.
“The novel-writing part isn’t what makes NaNoWriMo impossible. Time is the only thing that makes NaNoWriMo impossible.”
…and ARCHIVOS can help writers maximize their writing time by giving structure and context to the story elements of their setting. When you understand how your character connects to the places and events of your world, you can spend your writing time writing, rather than working through all those connections in front of a blank page.
But Wait! There’s More…
As an added incentive, writers who take advantage of this offer and WIN NaNoWriMo (by writing 50K words by the end of November) will receive a FREE YEAR of ARCHIVOS!
NaNoWriMo is Worth It!
Winners of NaNoWriMo describe the experience as “empowering”, a “revelation” of what they are capable of and their potential as a storyteller.
“There is no reason on this green earth not to try for glory. You’re going to spend these 30 days at the computer anyway… You can come out transformed.”
